Have you never been taught how to jump-start a vehicle? A lot of people are not taught about this important skill anymore, and that is okay. The important thing is that you are here now to learn this skill.

Jump-starting a vehicle involves taking the jumper cable and a working vehicle and attaching it to the vehicle that is not running. Both vehicles should be turned off during this process. The other important thing to make sure of is that the cables are attached in the right way. Red clips attach to the positive battery terminals, and the black clip goes on the negative terminal of the non-running vehicle and an unpainted metal portion of the working vehicle.

Run the working vehicle for a few minutes at this point and you can start to make progress on getting the non-working vehicle back up and running in no time flat.
