The Tokyo Motor Show serves as an exciting hub for car innovations to make their debut. It's even more exciting for the Japanese automaker, Mitsubishi, who is treating its home nation's big car event with three brand-new concepts.

The brand has revealed its trio of new Mitsubishi vehicles will center on safety, drivability, and eco-friendliness-- three qualities that are highly valued by our Littleton area drivers.

Though Mitsubishi has yet to confirm whether its concepts will make the cut and head to dealerships around the world, we do know some vital details on the prototypes.

For starters, the GC-PHEV concept is a full-sized SUV fitted with a plug-in hybrid electric powertrain. Not only is the Mitsubishi model a sustainable vehicle option, but it boasts some revolutionary technologies! The GC-PHEV has wireless connectivity, driver support, safety features, and Mitsubishi's agility-boosting Super All Wheel Control system.

Then there's the AR multi-purpose vehicle. Running off of a smaller direct-injected turbocharged engine, the Mitsubishi concept is playful, versatile, and offers a roomy, upscale cabin.

The final addition to the trio of concepts is the XR-PHEV, which also uses the plug-in hybrid electric system that drives the GC-PHEV. The Mitsubishi crossover offers sporty styling balanced with supreme handling, comfort, and top-notch efficiency.

Mitsubishi's new concepts seem to have all of traits we desire most within a new vehicle, like superior fuel economy ratings, little to no emissions, potent power, and lavish interior. We can only hope their next stop after the Tokyo Motor Show is our dealership in Thornton, CO, Skyline Mitsubishi!

Of course, if that's the case, our readers will be the first to know, as we will certainly continue to update our blog with the latest news regarding Mitsubishi and its creations.
