Like most of us in the Denver area, Mitsubishi uses social media to stay connected. The usual suspects like Facebook and Twitter allow the Japanese auto brand to share news and engage with consumers. Now they're dominating Instagram and Tumblr with snapshots of not only new Mitsubishi models, but the ones you drive and love too.
Though Facebook and Twitter enable images, nothing gives the big picture like Tumblr and Instagram-- both are popular social platforms focused on visuals. With good-looking cars like the robust Outlander or the sleek 'n' sporty Lancer Evolution, it's no wonder Mitsubishi went to these networks to show them off!
Being such an innovative automaker, we knew Mitsubishi would take a creative approach to Instagram and Tumblr as well. For one, the imagery isn't restricted to vehicles' exteriors. High-quality photos take you under the hood, behind the controls of their latest car technology, or straight to the driver's seat without leaving your couch.
Secondly, photos aren't just snagged from the automaker's advertisements. The social platforms rely on fans for content. We must admit that we love a good professional shot of a new Mitsubishi gracefully speeding through hairpin curves from an aerial view, but seeing pics taken by real Mitsubishi drivers in an everyday environment provides authenticity.
Fans are especially encouraged to submit photos for #FanFriday. Tag a pic of your Mitsubishi with the hash tag for your chance to be featured on the automaker's Tumblr and Instagram.
