At Skyline Mitsubishi, we're honored to be the middleman between our Littleton and Denver area drivers and the Japanese automaker. Each one of our new Mitsubishi vehicles makes its way from the assembly line to our dealership's showroom to your hands.  Taking it back a few steps to the assembly line, the brand is looking to expand their manufacturing, and therefore production capacity, with the addition of a new plant.

So where does Mitsubishi have its sights set on for its fresh facility? The auto brand is growing its production into Indonesia with the establishment of a new plant with the expected construction start date of March 2017. Mitsubishi reportedly invested around $422.90 million into the factory which will surely return the favor with its assistance in annual production-- an anticipated increase to 100,000 vehicles manufactured per year.

So what does this mean for our dealership in Thornton, CO and our local Mitsubishi customers?

While the new Indonesia plant is Mitsubishi's response to emerging Asian markets and fulfilling escalating demand for vehicles around the continent, it also forebodes a bright future for U.S. markets too. With the launch of the new assembly plant, stateside customers can also expect a rise in availability of our favorite Mitsubishi models, like the Outlander Sport and Lancer.

Of course, we have plenty of time before the auto brand makes the first moves to manufacturing fulltime in Indonesia. However, continue checking back to our blog for any progress on Mitsubishi's expansion into other markets, in addition to new model announcements and the latest buzz around our dealership.
