While many don't prefer crunching numbers, we at Skyline Mitsubishi enjoy looking over each month's sales report to not only reflect on the auto brand's successes, but to get a sense of which new Mitsubishi models are trending among U.S. drivers. One vehicle that continuously garners attention from those in the market for a new car, from the Littleton area and beyond, is the Outlander Sport.

Now that we are seeing the results of last month's sales, the love for the Outlander Sport is pretty clear. A total of 2,634 units were sold across American dealerships, like ours in Thornton, CO. When compared to the Mitsubishi crossover's sales numbers from June 2012, there was an incredible 80 percent increase.

So what about the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has captivated so many drivers?

"We can't emphasize enough the importance of Outlander Sport's recent designation as a 'Top Safety Pick+' by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS)," commented Yoichi Yokozawa, the President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors North America. "Consumers can now add class-leading safety to high fuel-efficiency and an attractive price as reasons to consider our CUV."1

Top ratings in safety and fuel-economy, all at an affordable price, have certainly contributed to the Outlander Sport's popularity. However, this Mitsubishi isn't a stranger to such admiration. June marks the tenth consecutive month that the model's sales have grown and currently, its year-to-date total is up roughly 54 percent from the first half of 2012.

Monthly sales reports are also helpful to drivers like you, as they can assist in narrowing down your search for the perfect Mitsubishi. After all, there's a reason that so many Americans are leaving dealerships in an Outlander Sport. Visit our dealership to see why, with a test drive of the top-selling CUV.
