As American drivers become more conscious of their carbon footprint and their impact on the environment, electric vehicles are becoming the norm. At our dealership, we've been a witness to this growing movement around the Littleton area as well and we're happy to offer an EV option among our new Mitsubishi lineup to accommodate the need to go green.
However, it isn't only its eco-friendliness that is helping the Mitsubishi i-MiEV garner attention these days. The auto brand's flagship electric vehicle recently took the title of the official 100,000th EV sold in the U.S.
The lucky new owner of the mobile milestone is Mr. Rich Salmon of Grand Bay, Alabama. As a part-congratulatory and part-thank you gift, Plug In America gave Salmon a brand-new ClipperCreek Level 2 electric vehicle charging station, which will make owning his Mitsubishi EV even more convenient. With the at-home station, Salmon can plug in his i-MiEV while he's asleep and wake up to a fully-charged vehicle, ready to go!
Mitsubishi showed Salmon much gratitude with president and CEO of the automaker's North American operations, Yoichi Yokozawa releasing a statement that read: "We'd also like to thank him for buying our all-electric Mitsubishi i-MiEV. With more than 30,000 i-MiEVs and their related vehicles logging countless safe and trouble-free miles on the roads in such dynamic locales as Southeast Asia, Europe, Japan and North America, Mr. Salmon is in good company."1
If you're interested in the good company of the i-MiEV too, visit us at Skyline Mitsubishi in Thornton, CO today. Though 100,000 drivers already call an EV their ride, it's never too late to get onboard the electric vehicle bandwagon. Contact us with your questions about EV ownership, or about our other available Mitsubishi models.
