Mitsubishi Evo Lancer Goes Under Guise for Top Gear Live 2011

British television series Top Gear has placed a Mitsubishi Evo Lancer engine under the guise of a black London cab. But don't let the taxi's harmless appearance fool you. Under the skin sits a powertrain capable of hitting 0 - 60 mph in a mere 3.8 seconds and producing 400 cubic-horsepower. This is one taxi Skyline Mitsubishi advises you never hail.

Thankfully, you won't be seeing this sneaky cab on the streets of Denver, CO. The undercover Mitsubishi Lancer is part of Top Gear Live 2011, an ongoing television event - beginning this November - which pairs fans with hosts to experience the real world testing of luxury vehicles. Handled by the show's anonymous character known as "The Stig", the Lancer will be this year's star attraction.

What else is lined up for the 2011 live spectacle? Top Gear gives a sneak-peak summary - "The all-new live show format has an indoor track where you'll see much supercar hoonage, stars being shoved into reasonably priced cars, Jeremy, James and Richard blowing things up and, of course, more Stigcab idiocy."1

If automotive idiocy, frighteningly fast test rides, and celebs getting scared silly tickles your fancy, grab your tickets now - Top Gear Live opens in the U.K. November 11th and ends the 13th. If ticket price or a general desire to keep your lunch in your stomach holds you back from flying to London, you can still feel the exhilarating power of a Mitsubishi engine here at Skyline Mitsubishi. Be sure to contact us if you would like to test drive any of our new Mitsubishi lineup - auto-antics excluded, we promise. Otherwise, visit us in person. We're conveniently located at 2040 W. 104th Ave. Thornton, CO.
