Skyline Mitsubishi Announces Two Futuristic Mitsubishi Concepts for Tokyo

For many, December elicits anticipation for holiday merriment and festivities. While we at Skyline Mitsubishi certainly enjoy the cheerfulness this season brings, we've got a different sort of celebration on the mind. As automotive aficionados we're more than a little eager to unwrap all the wonderful details hidden in new Mitsubishi concepts at this year's Tokyo International Auto Show. But before the veneration of vehicles gets fully underway, we'd like to take a moment to give you a sneak peek at two upcoming Mitsubishi models: the Mitsubishi Concept PX-MiEV II and the Mitsubishi Mirage.

Marrying Mitsubishi i EV technology with the power of a conventional 2.0-liter MIVEC four-cylinder engine, the PX-MiEV II sees an increased range of 496-miles total and 31-miles on battery alone. Using the same S-AWC four-wheel-drive system as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, the concept PX-MiEV derives instant torque from the electric motors to help it accelerate like a 3.0-liter V6.

Aimed at emerging and advanced markets, the second futuristic Mitsubishi model comes with the resurrected Mirage name. A vision of excellence, the concept is a sub-compact two-box, five-door hatchback powered by a 1.0-liter inline three-cylinder MIVEC engine with Auto Stop and GO. Riding a mere 146-inches in length bumper-to-bumper, the Mirage is also an image of pure maneuverability.

To find out more about these and other upcoming Mitsubishi concepts, be sure to check back with Skyline Mitsubishi. In the meantime, feel free to deck out your holiday season with any of the innovative new Mitsubishi models currently available at 2040 W. 104th Ave. Thornton, CO 80234.
