Japanese automaker, Mitsubishi, is headed toward greener pastures - figuratively and quite possibly literally. Specifically, they're evolving their brand identity, and likewise their vehicle lineup, to respectively represent a green-car pioneer.

It's true, Mitsubishi, best known for its carefree, sporty cars is carving a niche for themselves as dedicated specialist in the realm of alternative powerplants...You're right to think a lot of what the brand represents is going to change.

News that Mistubishi planed to pull the plug on the Eclipse, Endeavor and Galant by 2014 broke this January.  Somehow, simply knowing that we had a good three years to enjoy the models made the news a little easier to swallow. That and the fact, Mitsubishi promised to introduce eight new hybrid and battery-powered EVs by 2015.
